Psalm 41
…8“A vile disease has been poured into him; he will never get up from where he lies!” 9 Even my close friend, whom I trusted, he who shared my bread, has lifted up his heel against me. 10 But You, O LORD, be gracious to me and raise me up, that I may repay them.… Psalm 41: 8-10
17 If you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. 18 I am not speaking about all of you; I know whom I have chosen. …19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and steadfast. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, 20 where Jesus our forerunner has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever in the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 6: 19-20
…16 one who has become a priest not by a law of succession, but by the power of an indestructible life. 17 For it is testified: “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.” 18 So the former commandment is set aside because it was weak and useless… Hebrews 7: 16-18
