Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said, "Have I also here seen Him who sees me?" Therefore the well was called Beer Lahai Roi; observe, it is between Kadesh and Bered. So Hagar bore Abram a son; and Abram named his son, whom Hagar bore, Ishmael. Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore Ishmael to Abram. Genesis 16:13-16 NKJV
God sees me and therefore I am not alone in my affliction. We crave justice and cry out for it when we are wronged, but do we crave the same justice when we are in the wrong. No, at least I don't, and yet when I see my enemy fall, who am I to not be humbled by own shared humanity? Sarai was wronged by her servant but has not done that which would repair the relationship. She has been cruel and gone out of her way to punish her. She is jealous and vindictive. The situation that now exists was at Sarai's own request. God sees, remember this when you curse the Muslims or wish them dead. You, who are now under grace, and put so much on your free will. If it is solely upon this and your intellect that you have chosen God, rather than that you were blessed in the hearing of God's word, the exposure to the teaching of the gospel, then I suppose you do have position to judge and a reason to boast. But if your salvation rests in a God who sees, and the humility, of one who stands before an earthly court yet opens not His mouth, then pick your brother up.
Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do." Luke 23:34 NKJV
